Knowing the superior performance of Nilfisk vacuum cleaners, husband and wife team Andy and Tricia Hawcroft founded The Vacuum Doctor (TVD) in 2000. Andy and Tricia originated from Yorkshire and Lancashire respectively and came to Australia in 1988. After extensive travelling they decided to settle in Perth in 1990 and Andy began working for Nilfisk as the Territory Service Manager until the passion of owning his own business exploded and he took the leap of faith to start The Vacuum Doctor.

Here’s a bio of our dynamic team who make this one the most respected vacuum cleaning businesses in Western Australia:

Andy

Andy is the pioneer behind The Vacuum Doctor; from being a nuts and bolts person his passion has grown into building and running this business in a brick and mortar world and has now taken it to an expanding E-commerce site with the aim of becoming the leading Nilfisk based content website WORLDWIDE!! Andy also manages the Ebay store, The Australian Nilfix Vacuum Doctor and can be found tweeting in-between breaks building up a social network of satisfied customers.

Tricia

Behind every man is the amazing woman who holds everything together. Tricia is the glue of the family and the business. She spends her days supporting Andy both in the home office and at the Burswood business site as well as take care of their two handsome sons and the family pets.

The boys

With two very active boys lending a helping hand in the running of the business (that is when they are not passionately playing with their Lego or looking after their guinea pigs) there is always an air of excitement to be found in the office.

Linda

Linda is our long time bookkeeper who’s meticulous in her work and ensures that our business makes a profit through some ingenious accounting practises.

Dan

A former Nilfisk Serviceman with 27 years of Nilfisk experience, Dan’s knowledge and activity out in the field has made him invaluable to the running of this business.

Stan

Stan is also a member of our expanding service team and always brings a smile to our customer’s faces when he quickly and efficiently fixes a problem.

Oscar

Our beloved Oscar, the purebred golden retriever is in charge of protecting the premises and providing stress-relief walks after we have spent too much time sitting behind the computer screen.

We specialize in Preventive Maintenance Agreements tailored to suit our customer’s needs and from there carrying out planned preventative maintenance on commercial and industrial cleaning equipment. Preventive maintenance means expensive cleaning equipment are always ready for use ensuring that your business will not experience any production downtime.

Your busy maintenance staff are saved from working on equipment that they are unfamiliar with saving you time and money. With our maintenance agreement plan all labour charges and callout fees are quoted upfront which will help you with your budgeting. Service visits are planned to suit the customer, and operators can be trained on the premises during service visits. No delivery charges are made to our preventive maintenance customers.

Our experience enables us to supply the right parts whilst keeping commonly used parts in stock, and ensuring the speediest delivery of any ordered parts.
