The IVB 5 by Nilfisk-ADVANCE (See PDF). This is a very quiet 57 dB(A) 70 litre heavy duty commercial vacuum cleaner with a 1500 Watt motor giving an airflow of 60 litre/sec at a vacuum of 23 kPa.
With its large rear wheels and front lockable castors, it's very manoeuvrable. It has a 7.5m cable, and for your protection it comes with a 12 month warranty covering faulty manufacture and workmanship. It is best supplied with a stainless steel tubed, trade and industrial hose and nozzle kit. Replacement filters are also affordable enough to have a couple which can be rotated each job, vacuumed, washed & dried enabling them to last a long time, and they are easily fitted by the operators.
This machine differs from its competitors by being fitted with an automatic filter cleaning mechanism which works fantastically well and is best demonstrated by the short video. In the video, a WHOLE 25 Kg. bag of cement is vacuumed up and the machine doesn't lose suction whatsoever. Then when the bag is emptied, the machine is opened showing it full of the cement powder. The machine automatically blows back through the filter every 30 seconds keeping it clean and retaining highest efficiency.
I've actually carried out a similar job where I sucked up 50 litres of powder-coating paint out of a machine in one hit. The clean side of the filter was as clean as a whistle afterwards, & there was no loss of suction at all during the task.
