Nilfisk GSD 700 Watt Motor-Head Now Obsolete. Previously Used in Older GS Machines
This fully serviceable motor, was for a long time, used in the Nilfisk GS 90, GS 80, GS 81, GS 82, & GS 83.
You can take the opportunity in all models, except the GS 83 to upgrade, to the more powerful, Nilfisk GMP motor, pictured below.
However, where the application is for use with fine dust, it's suggested the 800 Watt GSP motor is used, against pictured below
The reason for suggesting the use of a less powerfull motor, would be because it will reduce the chance of the filters & dust-bag to clog up, preventing the flow of air through the filter, leading to possibly overheating the motor. The dust migrating through the filter into the motor would be reduced too.
For applications such as engraving, silkscreening, wood cutting etc, where a Nilfisk GSD (or GST or GSJ etc.) is integrated within a machine, they can be re-furbished here in Perth Western Australia as we have a supply of salvaged units we have re-furbished.
